Our latest release has been years in the making (ten years, to be precise) but its roots go much deeper. Great Jones Distilling Co. is proud to announce the arrival of our 10 Year Distillery Reserve Bourbon, a limited-edition distillery exclusive that stands as tribute to New York’s unique terroir, our distiller’s art, and the unshakable spirit of New York.
The Making of a Legend: Great Jones 10 Year Distillery Reserve Bourbon
You only turn ten once. And for a whiskey that’s spent every year steeped in New York climate and character, this milestone feels especially worth raising a glass to.
Great Jones 10 Year Distillery Reserve Bourbon is a spirit that tells our story the way we like best—slowly, with depth, and full of New York personality. As one of the only 10 year bourbons made entirely in New York, its complexity has been shaped by the region’s cool climates and shifting seasons. It can’t be replicated anywhere else.
Crafted from corn, malted barley, rye, and water from an ancient Hudson valley aquifer, it’s made with 100% New York-grown ingredients from the legendary Black Dirt Region of Warwick Valley, NY.
Once a glacial lake bed, this land is home to some of the most nutrient dense soil in the country, and it shows up in every sip. The grains that grow here bring a natural spice and boldness that is entirely unique to New York agriculture.
Hand-blended by our Head Distiller, Celina Perez, Great Jones 10 Year Distillery Reserve Bourbon is bold and balanced– a reminder that great things come to those who wait.
As Celina puts it, “this bourbon is a whisper of the spirit of New York”.
A Partnership Built on a Shared Passion
Celina and Black Dirt Distillery founder Jason Grizzanti have been collaborating for years, meticulously sampling select single barrels to create the perfect blend. Now, a whole decade later, there’s a bourbon to reward their patience and commitment that is, without a doubt, a true fusion of whiskey-making craft and respect for the land. A remarkable tribute to New York, its people, and its rich artisanal history.
Their decision to age Great Jones 10 Year Distillery Reserve Bourbon in Upstate New York is what allowed a whiskey of distinct character to emerge within the New American Oak barrels. The region’s cooler temperatures and changing seasons imbued a unique complexity and shaped an expression of uncommon depth: rich amber in color, with aromas of orange peel and honeysuckle, and layered notes of cocoa, sage, and hyssop.
Bottled at 105 proof, the spirit’s spicier overtones balance its natural sweetness for an unforgettable tasting experience.
“Drink it slowly. Savor its amber depths. This 10 Year Distillery Reserve Bourbon is not just a drink; it is indicative of our dedication to local farming communities and a celebration of terroir.”
- Celina Perez, Head Distiller
We opened our doors in 2021 with a simple mission: bring whiskey back to Manhattan, where its legacy once ran deep. This partnership with our friends at Black Dirt Distilling is more than just a collaboration. It’s a promise to New York. A commitment to keep our process in-state, our ingredients close to home, and our standards rooted in authenticity.
Great Jones 10 Year Distillery Reserve Bourbon is as rare as it sounds. You won’t find it online. You won’t stumble on it at your local shop. It’s a limited-edition distillery exclusive release and once it’s gone, it’s history. For true whiskey lovers, it’s reason enough to head downtown to our distillery.
A NYC Bourbon Experience Like No Other
Local whiskey is one thing—and Great Jones Distilling Co. does that well. But what we’ve created isn’t just a local pour. It’s a bold, terroir-driven bourbon that will take center stage as one of the most unique, distinctively New York – spirits a whiskey lover can taste.
So come visit us in NoHo, at our Manhattan distillery on 686 Broadway. Tour the distillery. Hear the stories. Taste the whiskey. Our 10 Year Distillery Reserve Bourbon isn’t just something to drink, it’s something to experience. And there’s no better place to do that than where it all began.
